Are jumping boots suitable for complete beginners?
Yes, absolutely anyone can try jumping boots, even if they are not especially athletic. Everyone takes to them quickly regardless of age or weight, and children fall in love with them straight away. We also adapt our classes to new “jumpers” and start with a slower warm-up, then the basic steps, gradually adding simple routines you will manage in your very first class. So there is nothing to worry about, and you will see clear progress in every following class. Take a look at our video gallery and come and jump with us. YouTube channel, where you will find individual routines as well as jumping for beginners, strength work in the boots and, newly, live streams too – so come and jump along with us :) On YouTube you will also find plenty of other Czech, Slovak and international Kangoo Jumps trainers and their great routines and videos you can jump to – we recommend for example Becky Overbeck, where the whole family jumps and they have hundreds, if not thousands, of different routines :)
Are jumping boots suitable if I am overweight? Maximum weight?
Yes, they are also suitable for higher weight categories (please tell us in advance if you weigh over 80 kg when booking a class); for classes we have boots adapted to a higher load, up to about 145 kg. With jumping boots Kangaroo boots contact us in advance and we will adjust them to suit you and recommend suitable boots with an increased capacity. We also sell the jumping boots version Kangoo jumps KJ PRO 7, rated up to 145 kg, or Fit boots also up to a body weight of approx. 140 kg.
Are jumping boots suitable after an injury or with mobility problems?
Kangoo Jumps were originally invented as a rehabilitation aid specifically for people recovering from injuries to support faster recovery and rebuilding muscle mass. Because the boot suspension absorbs up to 80% of impact, movement is softer and more springy, reducing strain on the musculoskeletal system. However, everyone is different, so it is important to be cautious and try the boots first. We have very positive feedback from clients with various pains or after knee or back surgeries, who finally found a sport they can do without difficulty. If you have had any serious injury or are dealing with back pain, etc., please always inform the instructor in advance.
Is it possible to try the boots, rent them and then buy them?
You can use our jumping boots rental, where we lend you the boots against a refundable deposit for a day or a week (or longer) – we can also send them anywhere by Packeta, or come and try the boots at our regular classes in the Ústí region or in a selected partner studio throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The refundable deposit can then be used towards the purchase of new boots from our Eshopu. For the return we will send you a return code and you simply go to any Packeta branch, where they will print the label and send the parcel back to us. And we will then just wait for your word on whether you want the deposit refunded or whether you will choose boots from our range (85 % of people buy the boots after trying them and join our Kangoo family :) we are delighted by the positive reviews). We will gladly help you choose the boots according to your usual shoe size and weight. So happy jumping.
I want to buy/rent jumping boots – which size should I choose?
Jumping boots are made in sizes 28-48. What matters for the right choice is the size of the everyday shoes you buy and your current weight. The size and weight range is always stated with each pair of boots. If you are unsure, contact us and we will gladly help you choose.
All the boots in our e-shop have been tried and tested by us over the years and jumped in :) and it comes down more to what you like; they differ slightly in the size tables and a few details, but the effect on jumping and weight loss is the same for all of them :) Cheaper honestly does not mean worse and vice versa, it is simply a different manufacturer with a different pricing policy, marketing and so on :) It is more about what you like, which colour and so on :)You choose either the lower category of 45-75 kg or the higher weight category of 75 to 95 kg (for a higher weight you can add a stronger spring – write your weight in the note and we will advise you, or we will choose another type of boot up to 145 kg). This can be selected for all the boots in our e-shop when you enter your shoe size – a range of 2-3 sizes is always available, and it does not matter if the boots are a little loose, but choose according to your usual size.
Recently the Kangaroo boots have been very popular and are the best-selling, and they are also more affordable, followed by the Fit boots, and the third type is the Kangoo Jumps – all the boots have been tested and tried by us and it comes down more to what you like. Cheaper does not mean worse and vice versa, it is simply a different manufacturer with a different pricing policy, marketing and so on :) Choose the colour you like :) Of course, after trying them on there is no problem exchanging boots that were only tried at home on the carpet, or returning them within 14 days, if the size does not fit and so on. The most common sizes are S and M, possibly the smaller XS. Not sure what to choose? Contact us and we will gladly help you pick the right boots for you
What is the difference between the types and colours of jumping boots in the e-shop?
All the boot types we stock in our e-shop have been tried and tested by us over the years and jumped in for dozens or even hundreds of hours :) so you cannot go wrong with anything from our range. Recently, however, the Kangaroo boots have been very popular and are also more affordable, followed by the Fit boots or the Kangoo Jumps – all the boots have been tested by us and it comes down more to what you like; they differ slightly in the size tables and a few details, but the effect on jumping and weight loss is the same for all of them :) Cheaper honestly does not mean worse and vice versa, it is simply a different manufacturer with a different pricing policy, marketing and so on :) It is more about what you like, which colour and so on :) Some are cheaper, some more expensive, which does not mean a significant difference in quality :) It is like with cars. Choose what you like, and of course after trying them on there is no problem exchanging boots that were only tried at home on the carpet, or returning them within 14 days, if the size does not fit and so on. We will send you a return code for Packeta. What matters most for the right choice is the size of your usual shoes and your weight – the size and weight range is always stated with each pair of boots. If you are unsure, contact us.

Do not forget to bring higher socks or knee socks (we recommend compression knee socks), plus a towel, a drink and an exercise mat (we also have a few mats available for you).

Where can I find beginner exercises and videos?
Yes, absolutely anyone can try jumping boots, even if they are not especially athletic. Everyone takes to them quickly regardless of age or weight, and children fall in love with them straight away. For beginner exercises visit our YouTube channel Kangoo Jumping , where you will find individual routines as well as jumping for beginners, strength work in the boots and now also live streams, so come and jump with us :) We will gradually add more new videos and live streams :) On YouTube you will also find plenty of other Czech, Slovak and international Kangoo Jumps trainers and their great routines and videos to jump along to – we recommend for example Becky Overbeck, where the whole family jumps and they have hundreds, if not thousands, of different routines :)
Some people put on their own music and jump on their own, following their imagination and whatever they enjoy, or go out running in the boots, anywhere on a flatter surface; the advantage is that jumping boots can handle any terrain (an advantage over inline skates). Just be careful downhill so the boots do not run away with you; we recommend starting by walking and gradually adding a slow jog.Can I go running outdoors in jumping boots?
Yes, definitely, and we recommend running outdoors :) The boots are designed not only for jumping at home (they do not damage any surface, not laminate or parquet, tiles or lino – you can dampen the sound of the boots on the floor with a rug or an exercise mat) but precisely also for jumping or running outdoors anywhere – we recommend a flatter surface, but the advantage is that jumping boots can handle any terrain – grass, gravel, uneven ground, sports fields and so on (an advantage over inline skates). Just be careful downhill so the boots do not run away with you; we recommend starting by walking and gradually adding a slow jog. Running in Kangoo boots is more demanding than ordinary running, so half your usual time and distance is enough, and you also absorb up to 80 % of the impact, protecting your knees, hips and whole musculoskeletal system. Or you can put on your own music and jump on your own, following your imagination, anywhere outdoors, at home or on holiday. So enjoy the boots to the full :)
