Jumping boots in sizes XS, S and M are designed for a weight of 50 – 85 kg; after fitting harder shells they can be used up to 100 kg, or you can add harder or metal springs and increase the capacity further. Above 85 kg choose the version for a higher weight; even so it can be increased to 110-115 kg, or up to 135 kg – just write to us :)

Kangoo boots, also known as jumping boots or kangaroo boots, are special sports footwear for free movement outdoors in nature as well as for indoor activities. We recommend using them mainly on flat surfaces (asphalt, grass, parquet and similar); sand and large stones are not suitable for the boots, even though they have a rubber sole like sports shoes. The key part is the spring in the lower section of the boot, which absorbs up to 80% of the impact as you land and helps push you back up – the so-called rebound effect. Thanks to this effect you spare your whole musculoskeletal system and your joints. The special sole shape and the spring let you move naturally and with correct posture. This automatically strengthens various muscles throughout the body without you even noticing.

The history and origin of Kangoo jumping boots
The original intention was to create a rehabilitation aid for athletes with leg injuries. In the 1980s the concept was reworked by the Swiss engineer Denis Naville, who lived in Canada. He focused above all on increasing the performance of the springs and improving comfort. In 1994 Naville then presented his first model, the KJ-1. Since then Kangoo Jumps kangaroo boots have even been made in children’s sizes, and they have moved from their original rehabilitation purpose into the recreation and fitness segment.
